Wheatley Vodka, Craft Wheatley Vodka is distilled in small batches by Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley and his committed staff at the Distillery utilizing Harlen’s one-of-a-kind micro-still and a unique mix of wheat and other grains. This artisanal vodka has a clear, crisp, and fresh taste after being distilled ten times, triple filtered, and bottled at 82 proof. Harlen has always desired to create a premium vodka, and he knows from experience that wheat provides a delicate and balanced flavor profile. Moreover The wheatley’s vodka recipe is cooked, fermented, and distilled seven times on the micro-still before being married with another grain recipe and distilled three times more. According to Harlen, “this is how vodka is supposed to taste.”
On the nose, it’s pure and crisp. The fresh and clean flavor is followed by a hint of gentle vanilla. This is how vodka ought to taste(Wheatley Vodka).
This is intended to be a handmade spirit that can be consumed on its own or mixed into your favorite vodka cocktails.
Additionally Wheatley Vodka is made at America’s oldest continuously operating distillery, the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Harlen Wheatley, Master Distiller at Buffalo Trace, is in charge of the brand, which is distilled in tiny batches utilizing a one-of-a-kind micro-still. This is a wheat-based vodka that has been distilled ten times before being triple-filtered and bottled at 41% ABV(wheatley’s vodka).
When I first tried Wheatley Vodka, the spirit was chilled so that I could taste it in the same way that my friends and I would ordinarily enjoy the spirit While I poured the vodka into a huge shot glass, sniffed it, took a tentative sip, and finally gulped a full swallow. Following that, I tried the spirit with a variety of foods to see if the Wheatley Vodka complemented or detracted from the flavor of each combo. The tasting was finished with a drink because, in my opinion, vodka is primarily a cocktail spirit. I performed the entire procedure (on a different day), this time with the vodka served at room temperature.
Futhermore, Wheatly Vodka is fantastic in cocktails. I made a Vodka Gimlet, which was delicious. I should mention that the wheat base makes this vodka slightly sweeter than rye-based vodka, which is reflected in the cocktail. I also created a Vesper (recipe here), which was delicious, and I imagine this vodka would make a great Vodka Martini as long as the serving was well cold, keeping the little punky flavor(Wheatley Vodka) that creeps in as it heats at bay.
