Buffalo Trace Straight Rye, This batch of Straight Rye Whiskey was created in collaboration with the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc) and Buffalo Trace Distillery. This Kosher spirt was matured in precisely certified Kosher casks after being distilled from the same high quality grains as other straight rye whiskeys from Buffalo Trace. To fulfill Passover regulations, these barrels were sold to a non-Jewish CEO in a ceremony witnessed by a cRc representative.
This Straight Rye Whiskey was bottled at 94 proof after seven years of maturing. The bottling lines were thoroughly cleansed beforehand, and no non-Kosher spirits were used(Buffalo Trace Straight Rye). This Straight Rye Whiskey, which is released each year after Passover, is huge and bold, representing the spirit of America’s oldest continuously functioning distillery.
With undertones of citrus and clove, this Straight Rye Whiskey honors the spiciness of rye.
