O.f.c. Vintages, Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. named the O.F.C. Distillery in 1870, and this historical whiskey brand has been treasured ever then. The distillery was the most advanced of its day, with copper fermentation vats, column stills, and a first-of-its-kind steam heating system, which is still utilized in our aging warehouses today. This extremely uncommon and collectible bourbon pays tribute to the O.F.C. Distillery, a National Historic Landmark that is now known as Buffalo Trace Distillery. E.H. Taylor Jr. named his new distillery O.F.C., which stands for Old Fashioned Copper, in 1870. He safeguarded the purity of his spirits by investing in the finest copper stills, copper pipes, and copper fermenters, and in this vein we provide O.F.C. Vintages. Each vintage is individually bottled in a magnificent oak(O.f.c. Vintages) display box in a crystal decanter with inlaid copper writing.
The first run of 200 bottles included 100 bottles from 1980, 50 bottles from 1982, and 50 bottles from 1983. These were made available for free to non-profit groups in order to collect funds for their causes. Subsequent vintages were issued in 1985, 1989 and 1990, and most recently, 1993 and 1994.
